Today is the last day of November. I’m currently sitting at the dining room table, watching some vlogs, finishing my cup of coffee (also trying to get some water in this morning), and waiting for the oven to preheat so I can put some turkey bacon in for breakfast.
I know I sound like everyone else when I say this but where did this month go? But I’m really excited because last night Kane and I decorated our place for Christmas. Hey, we waited until after Thanksgiving to put it up. (it’s always been that way) I’m super excited for the holidays!
It’s that time of the month where I share “Everything Erica” November edition.
Here is what I was reading, listening to, watching, obsessing over and trying during the month of November.
Reading: All Grown Up-Jami Attenberg
This book was actually in the collection that my sister had sent with me back from her place. I went through the box earlier in November and it stuck out to me. Let me give you the run down of what it’s about.
Andrea Bern is the main character who’s a designer, friend, daughter, sister but she’s actually alone, a drinker, a former artist and ‘professional’ in the bedroom. Everyone around her has been getting their life together. Her best friend is getting married and her brother and sister in law are expecting a baby. But when her niece arrives, things start happening with the family and realizing what matters.
I mean, it seems like it should be a good book. I’ll keep reading and keep you updated.
By the way, the last book I was reading in October..I closed that and put it back on the shelf. I just wasn’t getting into it.
Like I said, I need to take more time and focus in on a book. I need to devote more time to reading.
Watching: YouTube Vlogs.
I’ve been watching YouTube vlogs for like three years now. I enjoy watching these when I’m getting ready in the morning, when I’m on the treadmill, eating lunch and anytime in between.

Listening: Office Ladies (podcast)
If you are a HUGE fan of The Office, then you will be a huge fan of Office Ladies. The podcast is Jenna Fischer (Pam) and Angela Kinsey (Angela). They talk about various episodes from The Office and have special guests. HILARIOUS and I totally wish I was friends with them in real life. I think it’s worth subscribing to.
Obsessing: Quest Vanilla Protein.
OH MY GOODNESS! Where do I begin with this? So delicious and it taste like melted vanilla ice cream. This is the only flavor of their protein shake that I’ve tried. They also have caramel and chocolate. Doesn’t even leave a gross protein after taste. No need to add PB2 or to blend it with ice in a blender. Drink it by itself and you’ll be satisfied for a couple of hours. Mmmmm! You can find them at your local Walmart, Target, Hy-Vee or where ever. Just a heads up, they are more expensive on their website than they are in stores. You’re welcome.
Trying: Overnight Oats
I’ve seen many recipes on Pinterest with overnight oats. Sometimes it’s hard for me to get my protein in and I decided to try some overnight oats.
- 1/4-1/2 cup of oats
- 2 tablespoons of PB2
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (or how much you ever want)
- 1/4 cup of water (or how much it takes to mix everything together)
BOOM! Stick it in the fridge over night in a glass container.
I usually eat it cold BUT I’m sure it’s good heated up in the morning. If you want to try it, I highly suggest you do. Very good and a good way to also get your protein in the morning.
Well there you have it. There is my Everything Erica for November.
What are you reading, watching, listening to, obsessing and trying?
Let me know. I’m curious on some things to check out!
XO!
